During the Festival month, the buzz of activity will move across five key areas or 'Hubs' of central London, with large-scale public events taking place in a different Hub each weekend. Each of the Hubs covers an area with a very different character - historic, present and future – and full of different institutions and activities. |
With the closure of Exhibition Road and involvement of the major cultural institutions, the programme of exhibitions and events will focus on west London and is being curated by the RIBA Trust. |
A series of exhibitions, talks, and installations focused on Canary Wharf, Greenwich Peninsula and Stratford, to include boat tours of the Lower Lea Valley around the Olympic Park. |
Curated by NLA, this hub will focus on the major development and masterplans in the area and the walking routes and public spaces between them. |
Curated by the Architecture Foundation, this hub will see the first-ever co-ordinated late night openings of all of the cultural institutions in the area, an urban treasure hunt, EXYZT pavilion and Future of Southwark exhibitions. |
An outdoor exhibition of past and future development in the City of London, a medieval market along Cheapside and a myriad of events created by the practices of Clerkenwell and the City fringe make this the ideal location for the finale of the Festival. |
