Walks in Silence
10 July - 12 July, 9:30pm - 10:45pm Novas Contemporary Urban Centre
73-81 Southwark Bridge Road London, SE1 0NQ

‘Walks in Silence’ is combination of visual aesthetic, architecture, and installation in a public space.
An exploration of London’s nocturnal cityscape, the installation takes the viewer on a journey on foot around familiar yet hidden parts of the city.
Borrowed light form street lamps, reflections, windows – all these sources of light become both subject and basis to develop film/image in the night. The way in which these sources of illumination literally edit or forefront objects becomes interesting in the built environment. A completely new way of perception arises, in which mass dematerialises (walls) and voids light up (windows).
Viewed from the street, this silent moving image work is a rhythmic, architectonic visual diary.
