Contemporary Architecture at Kew Gardens
8 July, 10:30am - 12:30pm Kew Gardens
Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew Kew Road Richmond Surrey, TW9 3AB

This event is a collaboration between several architectural practices currently working at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew: Edward Cullinan Architects, Marks Barfield, Walters and Cohen and Wilkinson Eyre.
The tour will present a mix of completed buildings and work on site, and will encompass the following:
Herbarium and Library Wing – Edward Cullinan Architects
Rhizotron and Xstrata Treetop Walkway – Marks Barfield
The Shirley Sherwood Gallery of Botanical Art – Walters and Cohen
Davies Alpine House – Wilkinson Eyre
Jodrell Laboratory Extension – Wilkinson Eyre
There will be a short talk at each of these, given by one of the architects working on the project. The number of participants will be limited to allow for clear communication, and within a reasonable time limit the architects will be able to answer questions about each project.
The tour is free, although participants must arrange their own entry to Kew Gardens (£13, see http://www.kew.org/visitor/priceskew.html for more information). However, please do not contact Kew Gardens about this event.
A meeting place, tour route and timing of the tour will be confirmed nearer the time.
