The LFA2008 Street Gallery is a live exhibition of information on the built environment that surrounds us, designed to enhance pedestrians’ experience of London’s architecture. As the prioritisation of walking and cycling plays an ever more prominent role in the transportation strategies of London, the Festival invites visitors to explore the city that is being opening up to them. Bright pink LFA branded boards will adorn railings and building site hoardings to highlight historic, iconic, contemporary and future developments across the city.
Locate and explore buildings of historic significance, exciting new additions to the existing landscape, buildings that are currently under construction and projects that are still on paper, but soon to emerge. Architects, designers, developers, institutions and societies will all contribute to this key Festival series. At each exhibition there is an opportunity to stop and consider the particular buildings being viewing and its context.
Many of the boards can be taken in while walking the five Hub self-guided walk routes. Pick up your complete set of Hub maps at New London Architecture on Store Street.
